The best piece of learning I have so far this year is the song I have written for my impact project. I have written this song to enter the Sing out 4 Justice competition, a songwriting competition that happens every year. This year the theme was 'A new way forward.' I strayed slightly from the topic, but I think that it's close enough to the topic to enter the competition. One of the things I think could improve my learning is learning to put more instruments in the song and to try to stay more on the topic that I was given.
Here are the lyrics from the chorus of my song, as I do not have a full recording;
"And I, I know it's kinda dumb, I kept holding on to something that is long gone.
But I'm hoping for a sign, a clue why you lied to me for all that time,
But I'm over you, yes I'm over you, I'm totally over you."
